Football, shirts, parties, office pools, and commercials are all in the mix for Super Bowl Sunday when the NY Giants take on the New England Patriots.
But let’s look ahead to Super Bowl Monday. Can you say ‘hangover’? Can you say ‘cranky’?
“Outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas puts the national lost productivity at $820 million,” writes HR pro Lance Haun on
TLNT.com. Too many distractions and chatter about Indianapolis leaves work tasks creeping along.
Which brings us to another point.
Haun says that a “survey conducted by Harris Interactive for the Workforce Institute at Kronos indicated that 1.5 million people could call in sick and an additional 4.4 million could be late to work the day after the Super Bowl.” Are you prepared?
