Year-end advice: Take a minute to say thanks

The close of the year is an especially good time to recognize people's efforts.
By Manager's Intelligence Report | Posted: December 21, 2012
You probably already look for opportunities to thank your employees for their hard work and praise their results throughout the year.

The close of the year is an especially good time to recognize their efforts. Everyone is hurrying to finish this year’s tasks—and next year’s work is looming.

A brief, personal message for each employee, including thanks for specific contributions (name them), is a good way to slow down the rush of events and remind each person that the good things he or she accomplished were noticed and remembered.
