HR specialist has been ranked No. 25 on the annual list.  

“These 25 high-opportunity jobs have competitive salaries and strong job satisfaction,” according to U.S. News, which compiles the list. (Click here to read the general overview).

Writer Philip Moeller explains HR is ranked because experts predict significant growth in the next decade. Based on flex-time, telecommuting, and collaborative efforts with global team members, Moeller says that HR specialists “oversee all of these moving pieces and try to make sure workplaces run smoothly, that the best new talent is recruited and hired, and that existing employees are properly compensated, fairly managed and evaluated, and, if need be, trained, disciplined, or even fired.”

He adds: “HR specialists often deal with all employee levels in an organization, including the very top management. These positions are increasingly specialized with the size and scope of an employer.”
